In Paul’s office, Adam swears that Jack was unarmed. He has no idea how that gun wound up in the penthouse. There was a partial print – let me run your prints to exclude you. Chelsea and Adam squirm.
Avery needs to leave. No, she’s not letting the monster win – she’ll be back to testify. Leaving tomorrow, Avery can’t manage a good bye for Summer. I’ll tell her you’ll be back, Phyllis hopes Avery won’t make a liar out of her. And now to tie up loose ends. Like me? Mike appears to frown.
Abby didn’t get frisky with the driver – do you really think I’d to that to you? No, Ben smiles. When Nick and Vikki arrive, Abby boasts that she closed the deal – now you can show me some respect. Victor surprises everyone and (after Ben leaves) claims he’s looking forward to proving his innocence. Once I’m free, we get our company back from Gabe Bingham.
Back at the station, Paul wonders why Gabe doesn’t want to have his fingerprints tested against the gun. Gabe would’t put it past Victor to put his prints on that gun – he’s setting me up. Chelsea decides they should leave and speak to a lawyer. Paul thinks that a good idea.
Nick’s all for ousting Bingham, but Abby needs to recover. In the hallway, Victor tells Nick how happy he is that his children are working together.
Mike scolds Avery over her public confession – but there’s no use crying over spilled confessions. With one more good bye, Phyllis leaves Mike and Avery to theirs. Take all the time you need, Mike says – heal – then come back (he gives a kiss on the cheek) Nick then comes along – hey, you OK?
What the hell are you doing here? Phyllis is NOT pleased to bump into Victor outside Jack’s room.
At the club’s bar (over coffee) Nikki updates Neil that it seems Victor’s telling the truth. Nikki thinks she wanted to blame him for her drinking. Neil doesn’t think she was too hard on Victor – there’s no proof that Jack held that gun at all. Sharon’s prints were found on a murder weapon after all. Nikki flashes back to finding a sheet of finger prints in an envelope (Victor saying they were about saving the company) OMG – Victor’s played me for a fool – he’s been planning on shooting Jack for months!
At the park, Avery and Nick talk morals. She lost her way – lost her principles – hurt Nick in this very park the day they were supposed to get married.
In Victor’s office, Chelsea panics about Adam being arrested if he’s fingerprinted. No, she doesn’t care about Adam – she cares about Connor, Billy, the baby Sage is carrying. Plus, she’ll be an accessory for not revealing his identity. Adam will protect her. You love me. You admitted it before and you can’t deny it now.
Phyllis will NOT let Victor in to see Jack – they didn’t drop the charges did they? Victor’s confident he’ll be vindicated in court – maybe even before then.
Nikki informs Neil that Victor was leaving the fingerprints in a confessional for a PI to pick up – they belonged to someone who’d hacked the company’s computers. He’s been plotting this for months – setting up Gabe. I have to tell Paul! Vikki runs in to stop her Mom – you can’t go to the police! Nikki can’t ignore the facts. Neil supports Nikki – she must do the right thing. I must tell Paul what I know, Nikki stands firm. As Paul arrives, Vikki hisses, Mom – please don’t.
Nick hopes Avery will come back eventually – promise me. Avery can’t do that. How will you live without seeing this face? Nick dials his dimples up to 10. Avery notes that he and Dylan have both moved on; having babies with someone who’s not here. Nick’s a good Dad – Dylan will be too. Avery cries as they hug.
In Abby’s hospital room, Billy isn’t happy with the ‘deal’ on a napkin. No, it’s not a joke, Abby’s confused by his reaction. This contract will kill us! Billy’s pissed.
Ashley apologizes to Ben – she didn’t mean to imply Abby did anything inappropriate with that warehouse rep. You and Abby have a good thing going on. Only things is, Ben can’t get Abby’s Mother out of his mind.
