They’re living together, Phyllis informs Dylan – you love her. He’s manipulating her. You’re the only one she’ll listen to. She doesn’t want Joe – she wants you. Think about your history. Dylan thinks it time they just move on. Oh, and Avery’s not the only one being manipulated, Phyllis continues – whatever spell Sharon’s casting over you – beware. She threw me down stairs and put me in a coma for a year. Just sayin’, Phyllis ignores Sharon as she marches out.
Sharon made a reservation for an early dinner on the club’s rooftop. No, she’s not curious about what Phyllis had to say. Joe moved in with Avery, he updates – no surprise. As he told Phyllis, Avery can live with whomever she wants to. Sharon jokes – they have a common enemy. Phyllis isn’t worried about Avery – she just wants you to dump (and hurt) me.
Post swim, Sage admits she’s worried about what kind of Mom she’ll be. She never had a role model (like Nick did) Everyone makes mistakes, Nick explains the learning curve. You’ll be just fine. And – you won’t be alone. As they cuddle, Nick’s phone goes off. It’s Vikki – about Mom.
The hapless guy explains that the aggressive Nikki grabbed him. Flashback to Nikki leading him to her suite – kissing him – pulling him in by his tie. Play your cards right, you’ll get a free shower, she slurred. Nikki covers he face in horror. Don’t come back here, Neil tosses him out. He was telling the truth, Nikki tells Neil.
You seduced THAT guy? Neil declares Nikki out of control – what about your husband? He drove me to this. Neil’s unsympathetic – poor me- pour me a drink. YOU got in bed with a stranger last night. Take responsibility – be accountable. You’re going to get sober (he pours water and will run a shower) I can take care of myself, Nikki claims. Neil in the bathroom, Nikki calls security – a man refuses to leave her suite.
Dylan has no idea why Phyllis is sticking her nose in. Sharon knows – it’s because of her. Do you think I’m manipulating you? That I’m capable of that?
Phyllis drops by Avery’s – she’s happy for Joe, and sure he’ll be out in no time. How’s the guest bedroom? You know I don’t have one, Avery says she and Joe have been debating who’ll take the one bed. After Joe wheels out, Phyllis wonders if his ability to have sex has been effected. Avery doesn’t know – it’s none of her business. He wants to make it your business, Phyllis thinks Avery stupid – letting Joe con his way back into her life. Avery reminds that years ago Phyllis decided not to be her sister – lets go back to that.
Despite the lost years, Phyllis cares about Avery (who should be with Dylan) This is about you hating Sharon, Avery knows – admit it. As Joe wheels back in, Phyllis exits. They decide to go out for brunch. Neither are self conscious about the wheelchair. I have nothing to hide, Avery declares.
Dylan thinks Sharon kind, beautiful, fun to be around. No, he doesn’t care what Nick, Phyllis, Nikki or Avery say. He knows she’s a good person. You bounced back and made ammends. Dylan doesn’t think Sharon deserves to be judged – you deserve the best of everything ~kiss~
The water’s not – time for Nikki to jump in. She doesn’t need Neil hovering over her. You didn’t give up on me, Neil reminds. Knock, knock – this the guy? My son owns this place, Neil sputters – you know how this party will end, he warns Nikki. Get it together. Now alone, Nikki slams the door and finds a bottle of vodka in the rumpled bed. Disgusted by her reflection in the mirror, Nikki puts the bottle in the trash can.
Downstairs, Vikki and Billy update Nike (with Sage) GC Buzz is all over Naughty Nikki. Dad’s stepping back – punishing her for not coming home. Vikki’s worried about the meds. Dismissing Sage and Billy. Neil tells Vikki and Nick that Victor wants Nikki to go to rehab, but she refuses. He suggests in intervention. Now’s the time – the ranch – today. This is a matter of life or death. Neil doesn’t think she’s had a drink yet. Let’s do it quickly. You on-board Nick??
Now showered and dressed, Nikki’s surprised when Nick and Vikki come knocking. We’re all concerned about you. Dad wants us at the ranch – come for dinner. Nikki will meet them there later. Spotting the vodka, Nick’s taking her to the ranch right now. You don’t need lipstick, no need a drink, Vikki knows.
Downstairs, Billy chats with Sage – soon to be another non-Newman parent of a Newman child. Victor didn’t break your marriage up, Sage says – and she and Nick aren’t in a relationship. He’ll be a good Father. Victor will be part of this kid’s life, Billy’s sure – just as Chelsea, Phyllis, Sharon. Cross him and he’ll do the same to you as he did to Sharon.
